Talking Periods and Celebrating World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2019

Every year on the 28th day of May, Menstrual Hygiene Day (MH Day) is celebrated all over the world.

Well, thats because a menstrual cycle is of 28 days and periods lasts for up to 5 days a month on an average.  Menstrual Hygiene is not just about the menstrual cycle, its also about creating a world where no girl and woman feels ashamed because of her periods. We are here to create an environment where every woman is empowered to manage her menstruation hygienically, safely and with confidence

After a detailed review of the pad making process using our SWACHH machines, guests were taken to a pad stall to showcase the quality of our products in comparison to other popular brands.

We also invited some of the dignitaries as our panelists to discuss about the revolution in this industry and how it has helped them bring about a change in the society. Our panelists included Ms. Mittal Gohil, Executive Director, Desai Foundation from Gujarat, Mr. Ashiwni Mishra, Head of Communications, Suman Industries Private Limited and Mr. Kaustubh Harare, Kalashree Healthcare from Maharashtra. Other eminent guests included Ms. Paulina Wawrzyncky a sex educator and advocate who came all the way from London to get to know more about our contribution in MHM and learn from our experiences. The panel discussion was followed by a brief one-on-one discussion with guests to get to know each other better and learn more about their area of expertise in MHM. These interactions contributed in creating awareness on menstruation, access to safe hygiene products and disposal methods.

The positive feedback from the guests was indeed very encouraging especially since we are all working towards the common goal of creating an impact in the menstrual hygiene industry. This is possible through setting-up our machine, conducting awareness campaigns about MHM in the rural areas of the country or direct distribution of sanitary napkins at the last mile. The roaring success of our Annual Open House with this overwhelming response marks yet another milestone in our journey.

We are incredibly pleased with the turnout and appreciate your continuous support in letting us serve you better. We look forward to building great relationships for years to come. Thanks again to all those who made this Menstrual Hygiene Day so memorable and successful.
